Frequently Asked Questions
About the Session
-
Absolutely. Most people I photograph are not professional models and many feel slightly nervous before their session. A large part of my role is guiding you through the process so you never feel like you’re expected to know how to pose or what to do. Sessions are relaxed and collaborative, with simple direction throughout to help create natural, confident images.
-
Simple, well-fitting clothing in solid colours tends to photograph best. I generally recommend avoiding large logos, busy patterns, or neon colours. You’re welcome to bring several options and we can review them together at the start of the session.
-
This depends on your package, but most people bring between 2 and 6 options. The goal isn’t to create completely different characters, but to introduce subtle variety through colours, textures, and layers.
-
Sessions typically last between 50 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the package you choose. There is plenty of time to settle into the session, change outfits, and work through different looks at a comfortable pace.
-
Sessions are photographed in my private home studio space in East London, around a 10-minute walk from Hackney Wick station.

Yes. While most sessions take place in the studio, outdoor sessions or a combination of studio and outdoor images can be discussed depending on the look you’re after.

General
-
Absolutely. Most clients say they feel awkward before the session, and that’s completely normal. My approach is relaxed and guided, with simple direction throughout to help you feel comfortable and confident.
-
Life happens. If you need to reschedule, just let me know as early as possible and we’ll arrange another date.
-
I generally ask clients to attend the session on their own, as this helps create a relaxed and focused atmosphere. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should accompany you. If there’s a particular reason you’d like someone to come along, just let me know and we can discuss it.
